Neighborhood Parks Restoration

Hamilton's neighborhood parks could add up to 30% to the resale value of nearby homes. They could become focal points for revitalized neighborhood economies. Instead, most add no value to the neighborhoods in which they sit.  Some take away as much value as they could potentially contribute.

The Neighborhood Parks Restoration initiative is intended to turn our neighborhood parks into positive public spaces.

Grayfields Revitalization

Imagine that Hamilton's abandoned and underutilized shopping centers were transformed into Neighborhood Centers, designed by local residents for local residents.

Imagine that our neighborhoods, not just our massive outlying malls, were the focus of our economic life.

Grayfields to Neighborhood Hubs is Sustainable Hamilton's vision of a new Hamlton Township, based on Smart Growth and Sustainable Development principles.

For the "thought model" that underlies this initiative, read Creating Neighborhood Capital from Strip Malls.

We are working with Ava Bromberg to bring this concept to life.  For more information, contact Robert Benjamin at Robert.Benjamin@sustainable-hamilton-nj.org
